원문보기 : https://www.viva100.com/main/view.php?key=20240915010004689 세종특별자치시가 마을기록문화관 아카이브 다담(多談)에 9월 민속대명절 추석을 맞아 이달의 기록으로 추석을 한글로 풀어낸 뜻인 ‘가을의 저녁’을 수록했다. 이달의 기록에서는 1970년대 연기군민의 추석에 대한 의견을 담은 신문기사와 2000년대 추석명절대책 등 연기군의 다양한 활동을 공문서, 문헌자료 등을 만나볼 수 있다. 2000년대 연기군은 ‘추석 맞이 고향사랑운동’을 통해 귀성길 정감있는 모습을 남기려 노력했고 어려운 가정에 제례비를 지급하며 소외되는 사람 없이 명절을 지낼 수 있도록 노력하기도 했다.또 주민들과 귀성객들이 더욱더 즐거운 추석을 보낼 수 있도록 세종문화예술회관(구 연기문화예술회관)에서 무료영화상영을 진행했다.

원문보기 : https://www.asiatoday.co.kr/view.php?key=20240917010009323 한국공예·디자인문화진흥원(공진원)은 김병종 작가의 아트 아카이브 전시 '생명광시곡, 김병종'을 옛 서울역사인 문화역서울284에서 열고 있다. 전시는 광시곡 형식을 차용해 여섯개 '악장' 형식으로 회화, 문학, 오브제 등 다양한 콘텐츠로 작가가 평생 추구해온 작업 세계를 보여준다. 서막 '심상의 숲'은 작가의 신작 '풍죽'이 만든 푸른 숲을 통해 관람객에게 사유의 시간을 제공한다. 이어 1악장 '동심의 기억'에서는 '송화분분' 등 작가의 대표작이 옛 서울역사의 3등 대합실 공간에 펼쳐진다. 2악장 '덧없는 꽃'에서는 '화홍산수' 등과 작가 연보를 서측 복도에 구현한다. 3악장 '감추어진 샘'에서는 '숲' 주제 연작을 통해 작가의 수묵과 수제 닥종이에 실현된 실험적 시도를 살펴본다.

Some scholar coined this term to differentiate it from more institutional archives. The efforts to create repositories of information have very rarely been about our communities, even while our communities have documented the violence against us—and our survival—forever. The fact that our communities have documented our own isn’t new, but whether that documentation has had the opportunity to be preserved and saved is a whole other issue. Small nonprofits like ours are increasingly documenting—whether it’s audio recording or video—and preserving cultural records from our communities. We’re digitizing records and locating archival repositories that will take them if far smaller groups aren’t able to do it. Increasingly, we’re obtaining state-generated records of state violence and human rights violations because we know that we need to be able to save those records and make them publicly available.

The Sonic Archive is a project by The Wandering House, a team of local artists with a mission about “home and belonging” but with a rural perspective. Since 2019 the project has been collecting stories from community members in Northfield, Lanesboro, and Red Wing. Here is Director of Library Services Natalie Draper who has worked with the project: “So it’s a really wonderful Capsule of Northfield’s feelings on home and how they how they feel about this place, how they feel about what what home means to them, how they feel about belonging here. It’s really beautiful so.”

What do you do with classified documents you can’t destroy? You build an archive to store them. NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, has amassed quite the collection since its creation in the wake of the second World War. Classified documents, as well as various objects that have played a part in its history — such as gifts received by its leaders on official trips — are stored in a vast archive split between the alliance’s headquarters in Brussels, and Washington D.C., where the treaty was originally signed, back in 1949.

That's because of a potentially history-deleting combination of how we live our lives digitally – and a paucity of official efforts to archive the world's information as it's produced these days.

They were both arrested during the uprising and deported to concentration camps. According to the Arolsen Archives, Strusińska, who was 47 when the uprising broke out, was first sent on 4 September 1944 to the Ravensbrück women’s concentration camp in Germany. A few weeks later, she was transported to Bartensleben subcamp, where she had to perform forced labour. She was rescued from the camp by the Swedish Red Cross and later transported to Sweden.
