You may have noticed recently around Northfield City Parks that a new signs called the Sonic Archive has appeared. The Sonic Archive is a project by The Wandering House, a team of local artists with a mission about “home and belonging” but with a rural perspective. Since 2019 the project has been collecting stories from community members in Northfield, Lanesboro, and Red Wing. Here is Director of Library Services Natalie Draper who has worked with the project: “So it’s a really wonderful Capsule of Northfield’s feelings on home and how they how they feel about this place, how they feel about what what home means to them, how they feel about belonging here. It’s really beautiful so.”
